The Right Pull Eye Pre Terminated Indoor/Outdoor Multifiber Cable Assemblies
In the case of building network connectivity between two structures, within a large building, or connecting networks from the cabinet of the third-party Internet service provider (ISP) to your home, optical fiber cable is used in order to meet the requirements of bandwidth, distance and noise. Outdoor fiber optic cable is good for outdoor cabling but not suitable for indoor applications. At the meantime, ordinary indoor fiber optic cable is not designed for outdoor cabling. Only indoor/outdoor fiber cables can be used for connecting networks of two buildings, inside the building and in the entrance facilities as well. Pulling Eye Pre-terminated Indoor/Outdoor Multifiber Cable
As its name indicates, this pre-terminated fiber optic cable is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cabling. Such multifiber pre-terminated fiber cable assemblies are designed with pulling eyes, which can be used with 2 to 24 fiber cables. The outer jackets of pulling eye pre-terminated indoor/outdoor multifiber cables are typically indoor/outdoor plenum (OFNP), polyolefine flame retardant (LSZH) or polyethylene (PE).
Features of Pulling Eye Pre-terminated Fiber Optic Cables
There are several key features of the pulling eye pre-terminated fiber cables that make them preferable for indoor/outdoor installations.
The first feature is that these cables are pre-terminated, which means the procedures of stripping the cables, preparing the epoxy, applying the connector, scribe and polishing, inspecting and testing are all done on the manufacturer's side. One of the main advantages for specifying pre-terminated fiber optic cables is that the controlled factory processes with pre-termination results in superior performance. Consistent, high quality connector end-face geometry results in lower insertion loss and better end-to-end attenuation in the system.
The second characteristic of these pre-terminated cables is the pulling eye. It further speeds up the installation process compared with filed termination. Pre-terminated fiber optic cable has omitted the time needed for termination, and the pulling eye saves time during installation of conduits, ducts or risers. In addition, the pulling eye protects the connectors of the indoor/outdoor fiber optic cables and prevents the cables from twisting during the installation process. Since the pulling eye is strain relived directly onto the outer jacket, it ensures that the pulling stress and strain do not act on the core or the terminations. It allows a tension up to 245N.

The protective sheathing material is another feature of these pre-terminated indoor/outdoor fiber cables. For example, the jacket of our indoor/outdoor pre-terminated fiber cable is PE. The PE jacket is perfect for withstanding lower temperatures due to the semi-crystalline thermoplastic material in the PE compound. Apart from the good cold-durability, PE jacket also has features of excellent UV (ultraviolet) resistance, moisture-proof and fungus-proof. The black color PE jacket is capable of better UV resistance. Our indoor/outdoor mutlifiber cables can be used in both dry areas and slightly damp conduits. When laying the conduit, remember to prevent the ingress of water, dirt, sand, and other foreign materials into the conduit prior to, during and after construction.
Indoor/Outdoor Multifiber Cable Application
As has mentioned before, the multifiber indoor/outdoor pre-terminated cables are ideal for both indoor and outdoor cabling.

For long-distance connections like outside cabling between two buildings and from the ISP to the house entrance facilities, the single-mode indoor/outdoor multifiber cable can provide 2 to 24 fibers that support high speed traffic of 10/25/40/100GbE between the core network and the branch network. And the speed could be doubled/tripled when using link aggregation via multiple fiber links.
Multimode indoor/outdoor pre-terminated fiber optic cable is perfect for indoor high bandwidth connections. It simplifies the laying part of the connectivity between many nodes to only one cable. Together with the pulling eye, it prevents messing up different cables and connectors that could happen in using many fiber cables.

Pre-terminated Fiber Cable Assemblies
Customized pre-terminated fiber optic cable assemblies allow users to buy the exact cable length and fiber count for installation and cause no waste of money or fiber cable. Besides, the breakout legs can be fan-out at same length or staggered at various lengths, meeting diverse needs. The connector types at both ends are also available with pulling eye pre-terminated LC/SC/FC/ST options of APC/UPC polishing. The pulling eyes can be either at one end or at both ends.

In order to fully enjoy the advantages of pre-terminated fiber optic cables, other pre-terminated devices like fiber adapter panels, fiber cassettes and loaded or unloaded fiber enclosures can be used together.
Conclusion
Multifiber indoor/outdoor pre-terminated cables are preferred for both indoor and outdoor applications in consequence of its superior features. The pre-terminated fiber optic cable, the pulling eye and the robust sheathing make such indoor/outdoor fiber cables the prior choice in both long-distance and short-distance fiber links. The flexible options of different connector types can also meet the requirements of being used with different equipment.
